Add each job from the joining date to the last working day. If two jobs overlap, count that time only once. The calculator does this for every job you add and shows years, months and days.
Naukri asks for years and months. Use the Copy button: it gives a line like "4 Years 7 Months". Round down the days, do not round up to the next month.
For most job forms, no: total experience means full-time work after your degree. Some companies and campus forms do count paid internships. Tick Count internships if the form says so.
Only the jobs that match the new role. Government, bank and teaching forms often ask for it separately. Untick Relevant on jobs that do not match, and the calculator shows relevant experience on its own.
4.5 years is 4 years 6 months. The calculator shows both: decimal years (like 4.5) and years plus months.
Usually yes. If you joined on 1 June and left on 31 May, that is exactly 1 year. Keep Count the last day too ticked for this. Untick it if your form counts only the days between.
Overlapping time is counted once. For example, a weekend part-time job during a full-time job does not add extra experience.
Write one honest line with the dates and what you did, like "Career break, Jun 2024 - Feb 2025: family care, completed a Power BI course". The calculator lists every gap between your jobs.
Each job is counted in full calendar months first, then the leftover days. When days from different jobs add up past 30, they become one more month.
