Notifications say "born not before" and "not later than" two dates. That is the easiest check.
The tool shows these dates for your exam and category.
Type your date of birth. The tool counts full years, then the months after your last birthday, then the days left. Today is used unless you change the Age as on date.
Change Age as on to the date you need, like 01/08/2026 for SSC CGL 2026. The tool shows your age on that exact day.
18 to 32 years for most posts, counted on 1 August 2026. So General candidates born between 02/08/1993 and 01/08/2008 can apply. Some posts are 18-27, 18-30 or 20-30.
21 to 32 years for General, counted on 1 August of the exam year. OBC get up to 35, SC/ST up to 37 and PwBD up to 42.
IBPS PO is 20 to 30 years and IBPS Clerk is 20 to 28 years, before relaxation. Check the cut-off date in the notification.
18 to 33 years for graduate posts and 18 to 30 years for 12th pass posts, before relaxation.
3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). OBC creamy layer candidates are treated as General and get no relaxation.
5 years for SC and ST candidates in central government exams.
10 years for General and EWS, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST, for persons with 40% or more benchmark disability.
No. EWS candidates follow the General age limit in central government exams.

Usually yes. An upper limit of 32 means you must not have crossed 32 on the cut-off date, so you are eligible until the day before your 33rd birthday. Check the born-between dates in the notification.
