Every government exam form asks for a signature in a fixed size and KB range. Get it wrong and the form will not submit.
This tool does the whole job in one go:
| Exam | Size | File size |
|---|---|---|
| SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD | 6 × 2 cm | 10-20 KB |
| IBPS, SBI (PO, Clerk) | 140 × 60 px | 10-20 KB |
| UPSC (CSE, OTR) | 3 signatures, 350-500 px | 20-100 KB |
| NEET, JEE Main, CUET | Not fixed | 4-30 KB |
| RRB NTPC, Group D, ALP | At least 140 × 60 px | 30-49 KB |
All of them want a JPG file. Applying to a bank exam? Do all four IBPS documents with the IBPS Document Resizer.
Need the photo size too? See photo and signature sizes for government exams.
Fewer or more than three signatures can get the form rejected.
A small shadow or grey paper is fine. Clean background fixes it.
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| File too big | Pick your exam, the tool stays under the max KB |
| File too small | The tool raises it to the minimum KB |
| Grey or shadowy background | Clean background: Normal or Strong |
| Too much empty paper | Auto crop, or drag the crop box |
| Signature looks squashed | The tool never stretches, it fits with white space |
| CAPITAL letters or blue ink | Sign again in running hand with a black pen |
A clean signature is mostly white paper, so it compresses to just 3 to 6 KB.
Many portals then say the file is too small. Other tools only make files smaller, so they cannot fix this.
This tool first saves at higher quality. If it is still under the minimum, it adds blank file data until it reaches the minimum. Your signature picture stays exactly the same.
If a form gives the size in cm, this is what it means in pixels:
| Size | At 200 DPI | At 300 DPI |
|---|---|---|
| 6 × 2 cm (SSC) | 472 × 157 px | 709 × 236 px |
| 4 × 2 cm | 315 × 157 px | 472 × 236 px |
| 3.5 × 1.5 cm | 276 × 118 px | 413 × 177 px |
| 140 × 60 px (IBPS) | 1.8 × 0.8 cm | 1.2 × 0.5 cm |
Portals check the file size and shape, not the DPI. Use Custom to type any size from your form.
Uploading a document with your signature? Make it one file with JPG to PDF, then shrink it with the PDF Compressor.
Everything runs inside your browser. Your signature is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
No signup, no watermark, no limit. Free for every exam.
Upload a photo of your signature, tap your exam (SSC or IBPS for 10-20 KB) and tap Resize Signature. The tool crops it, makes the paper white and saves a JPG between 10 and 20 KB.
SSC asks for a JPG signature of about 6 cm wide and 2 cm high, between 10 KB and 20 KB. Your photo is taken live in the form, so the signature is the only image you upload.
140 × 60 pixels, 10 to 20 KB, JPG. Sign with a black pen on white paper and do not use capital letters.
UPSC now asks you to sign three times, one below the other, on one white sheet. Upload it as one JPG of 20 to 100 KB, about 350 to 500 pixels. Choose UPSC in the tool and upload a photo of all three signatures together.
NTA exams ask for a JPG signature between 4 KB and 30 KB, signed with a black pen. Choose NEET / JEE / CUET in the tool.
RRB forms ask for a JPG signature of at least 140 × 60 pixels and 30 to 49 KB. Choose RRB Railway and the tool keeps the file inside that range.
A clean signature is often only 3 to 6 KB, so the portal says the file is too small. This tool raises it to the minimum automatically by saving at higher quality and adding blank file data. The picture does not change.
Keep Clean background on Normal. The tool removes shadows and grey paper, makes the paper pure white and the ink darker. Use Strong for a photo taken in dim light.
The usual reasons are a file outside the KB range, a grey or shadowy background, too much empty space, a blurry photo, blue ink where black is asked, or signing in capital letters.
No. SSC, IBPS and most exams reject signatures written in CAPITAL letters. Sign the way you normally sign, in running hand.
Use a black pen. Most exams ask for black ink, and black also stays clearest after the file is made small.
Yes. Open this page in Chrome or Safari, tap Choose Photo and take a picture of your signature or pick one from your gallery. Everything works on the phone.
