A recent colour passport-size photo as JPG or JPEG between 10 KB and 50 KB. 200 x 230 pixels (3.5 x 4.5 cm) works well and stays sharp inside the limit.
JPG or JPEG between 10 KB and 50 KB. Sign in black ink on white paper, in your normal running hand. 140 x 60 pixels works well.
Men upload the LEFT thumb impression and women upload the RIGHT thumb impression, as JPG between 10 KB and 50 KB.
The notice gives the format and the KB range, not the pixels. 200 x 230 for the photo, 140 x 60 for the signature and 240 x 240 for the thumb are common sizes that pass.
Press your thumb on a blue or black ink pad, then press it once on white paper and lift straight up. Take a photo in good light and upload it in the thumb box above.
Upload it in the tool above. It crops it to 200 x 230 and saves a JPG between 10 KB and 50 KB.
Use a clear photo with your face fully visible. Avoid dark or tinted glasses and caps. Follow any extra rule given in the AFCAT notice.
The notice is expected in November or December 2026, with the exam in January or February 2027. Last cycle, registration ran from 17 November to 14 December. Check afcat.edcil.co.in.
